Clyde Van Enkevort with Erie Trader upbound at Detroit for Duluth from Toledo lay-up mid-day March 19. Joyce Van Enkevort with Great Lakes Trader upound at Detroit for Marquette from Toledo, behind Clyde Van Enkevort, mid-day Mar. 19. As of 2PM (Eastern time), nothing else showing from winter lay-up, except McKeil Spirit and Sunnanvik running cement on Lake Ontario and, of course, the Algoma oil tankers.

3 am AIS Observations, March 11:
As of 3 am Eastern on Tuesday March 11, the Samuel de Champlain is northbound off Hammond Point (MI) on Lake Huron, showing a destination of Green Bay. Per the Boatnerd port reports, it left Detroit on Mar 9, and has already been to Alpena. Meanwhile the USCG Mackinaw left Cheboygan and is spending the night anchored off St. Ignace. I suspect it will escort the Champlain and barge through the Straits later today.
The USCG Spar left Duluth and is headed to Thunder Bay.
Both the CSL Tadaussac and the cement carrier Sunnanvik are active on Lake Ontario.
And for tankers, the Algonova is downbound off Port Sanilac after a trip to Cheboygan. The Karen Andrie left the asphalt terminal in the Calumet River and is northbound off Chicago, showing a destination of Monroe. The Algosolis is downbound near St. Clair for Detroit, while the Algocanada is upbound in western Lake Erie, trailed by the CCG Griffon.
Its getting busier out on the open lakes.

The Jackman is heading for Windsor to unload grain and will be heading to Sarnia to layup again until the Welland Canal opens later this month.

The Jackman is heading to Windsor ADM per AIS, presumably to unload her storage cargo of grain that she had when she laid up in Goderich. It’s unusual that she laid up in Goderich with grain for another port. Pet a Facebook comment I saw, I believe she will proceed to the Government Dock in Sarnia after Windsor.

Per AIS, CSL Tadoussac left Toronto early on March 3rd, so it has already delivered one load to Clarkston, and is now (3/5/25 pm) loading for a second time in Colborne.
Also, the Capt. Henry Jackman left Goderich this afternoon. Destination currently unknown. Samuel Risley assisting.
Thanks for the update, Mr. Link. Interesting about the Jackman. I wonder if she's heading to Erie, as well?

As most of you probably know, Algoma Innovator left Sarnia yesterday (Mar 4) for Erie. Probably heading to the shipyard there for some inspection or scheduled/required work. Also, just saw that the CSL Tadoussac is eastbound from Toronto on Lake Ontario at 930AM this morning (Mar 5).
