Re: baie-st-paul
One of her AIS reports shows her as arriving in Windsor, Ontario on December 18 at 0740 hours. I don't know if this is accurate and it could even be an error. There have been reports also that have said that she is bound for Superior, Wisconsin as well. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see where she goes to next.
Re: baie-st-paul
It's good to have a vessel named Baie St. Paul back on the river and lakes, evening if she isn't as good-looking as her predecessor.

Re: baie-st-paul
With the reporting stations between Valleyfield Quebec and Cape Vincent New York not reporting, can only follow her through the Seaway page until AIS kicks back in on Lake Ontario.
Re: baie-st-paul
Usually, 0000 hrs is used to mean the new day beginning.
Probably less confusing to use 0001.
Probably less confusing to use 0001.

Re: baie-st-paul
It appears like the Atlantic Superior is currently running a trade route similar to what the Baie St. Paul is expected to. Is the Atlantic Superior expected to layup on the lakes this winter? If so, would this be the first time since she was built that she was layed up for the winter on the lakes?

Re: baie-st-paul
So, anyone hear what time she is due out of Montreal on the 15? Port of Montreal has her "due out December 15 at 0000 hours." Would this be at midnight on December 14 tonight? Also, would anyone have any dates or early ETA's as to when she might be expected to pass by Port Huron? Thanks for any information.

Re: baie-st-paul
There was a posting a while back that said "weather permitting the Baie St. Paul was scheduled to do 3 ore runs from Duluth to Nanticoke and then lay-up afterward." So, basically she will be running iron ore from Duluth/Superior to Nanticoke from the looks and sounds of it at least for now.

Re: baie-st-paul
Not to stir the pot too much, but I'm just wondering what the BSP can be doing this late in the season making runs in the "north of Welland" system. If she is to enter the system north of Welland at this late date, is it to run loads there after the Welland closes? And what loads will she be running? Or is just to do a test run for now on the upper lakes until she takes a load below the Welland for the seaway runs?

Re: baie-st-paul
Port of Montreal website has her scheduled to depart sometime on December 15th. If she does depart on December 15, I would then guess that she could be in the Canal either the 16 or possibly on the 17th but, this is only a guess.

Probably the 16th or 17th if she sails on the 15th from Montreal as scheduled.
