This is from the General Arrangement plans,I will work my way up.Spar Deck Crews quarters, Poop Deck Galley mess rooms as mentioned,Boat deck Air intakes and fan rooms,This may be the deck you are asking about.

With the use of the second deck for those things,what was done with the extra space on the main deck?

That extra deck is for the Galley, Unlicensed crew mess, Officers mess, Captain and Chief engineer dining room, and the Chief Engineers cabin/office/dayroom

Does anyone know what the extra deck on the stern of the Algosteel was for, all the other Davie builds don't seem to have it.
