The Algoway arrived in Owen Sound today along with the Algomarine.

i have also heard things about both the algorail and algoway. like one is done this year followed by the other next year. but i heard that last march\april so who knows.

I have heard the same. These rumors go around every year about vessels at this time; much of the time they are fortunately not true.

I spoke to the mate below lock 8 on their way to Toronto. He said they got an extension on her certificate and they were going to put some money into her which should guarantee her fitting out next year.

I heard from two different sources at Algoma that she will sail again next season.

I expect that she is done, but will layup in Owen Sound until there is room at IMS for her.

Why a partial load ??

Where do the Canadian boat fuel ?

Algoway's last trip for the season is this one into Milwaukee, then partial cargo into South Chicago before layup in Owen Sound. Perhaps she escapes the breaker's torch for another year?
