According to the Owen Sound Sun Times website, Susan Schrempf, the president and chief executive officer of the Owen Sound Transportation Company said that “One propeller blade has a metal fatigue crack and needs to be replaced. We remove, inspect, repair and balance all blades on both hubs whenever we make a blade change” to avoid unwanted vibrations which can cause drive-train damage. That work should take about two weeks, then the Chi-Cheemaun will head home to Owen Sound for the winter, with a brief stop at Tobermory to pick up materials and equipment for winter refit work.

Just noticed that the Chi-Cheemaun is in Sturgeon Bay. Does anyone know why? I believe that her last 5-year was in 2016.

Any info would be appreciated.
