I was wondering what’s going on with all the repairs to the props on the 1000 footers, that’s 3 that have needed repairs to the props in the last 2 weeks, the speer being the other one. Is the ice on eastern Lake Superior causing these issues? The Herbert c Jackson was here for 11 days also with repairs to her stern due to plate ice gashing a hole. I think that happened in the st.marys river though if my memory serves me right.

Both were pumped down "in the head". Work was being done on the stern of both boats.

Both are in slips next to the fuel dock in the Twin Ports. The Mesabi Miner came from loading in Silver Bay, straight to Duluth. Anyone heard anything about these two boats?
