Bob, The triple expansion steam engine from the Essayons is in the heart of the Lake Superior Maritime Museum at the foot of the lift bridge in Duluth and she hasn't had mains since. Unfortunately, the tug Essayons is sitting on the bottom of St. Louis Bay. The tug Senica was salvaged and was at Sault Ste. Marie, I don't know the if she's been sold but do a search on this site. The same for the Islay, there has been recent discussion on these boards.

What are the dimensions of the tugs Islay, Reiss, Essayons, and Seneca? Where are they now? I heard the Essayons had her steam plant replaced. What was she powered with instead. What type of engine does the Islay have? TIA.
