The tug Salvage Monarch has had the Metis out to Bath a couple of times this year with loads back to Toronto Lafarge.
Re: Cement barge Métis
From about 2007 to roughly 2014 it was in frequent use serving the former Essroc Cement terminal in Rochester NY. For years Rochester had a silting issue that often prevented the Stephen B. Roman from reaching the upstream terminal. Dredging was done starting in 2015 and I don't think the McKeil Spirit has had any issues getting to the Rochester terminal (now Lehigh Cement) since it took over for the Roman in 2018.
In the past few years, the Metis has also made trips to Oswego and down the Seaway but those may have to do with servicing terminals that don't need huge quantities of cement.

Cement barge Métis
Years ago, a barge called the Métis was tied up at the Essroc Cement Dock in Windsor across the Detroit River from the Westcott home dock. What happened to it?
