I wonder if Mckeil has eyes on this combo for their east coast- St.Lawrence gulf operations? Maybe Ocean don’t want to sell to them?

Yes they are laid up and still for sale (listed by Marcon). There is actually no shipyard left in Sorel-Tracy, it is just a pier where they are tied up.
Apparently a contract for chip transport never panned out and they have hardly been used. They did make a few trips to Port Hawksbury, Nova Scotia and a few in Quebec as you noted.

Other than a few loads of woodchips, did Group Ocean ever find work for the tug Mega and barge Motti? Or are they still laid up and for sale? They currently appear to be at Sorel-Tracy shipyard, which makes me suspect that they are laid up.
