Roger,

I ordered my copy on March 30 and have not yet received it. I have the further complication of living in Ontario, Canada. Just wondering if you are having troubles shipping to Canada due to COVID. Looking forward to receiving it.

Regards, John

Just put in my order today and went online to the KYS website and got my 2021 books ordered. I would’ve gotten the books without the spirals on the St. Clair River but, due to the rain we’ve been getting lately that is making life miserable for trying to drive out there to the river and look through the book and buy it there. So, I figure just to go online today and get them that way and it makes it easier plus I’ll have them much faster and quicker and soon. Can’t wait to get my copies and looking forward to it. I reserve my comments about the book until after I have received it and looked through it myself. So please, no spoiler alerts as I want to be surprised by what I see in the 2021 KYS book once I get it! Also what’s made it a challenge as far as getting them on the river is not every store and location has them in yet as they're slowly getting them.

Just received word this morning that the S&A Liquor store located in St. Clair, Michigan has received the 2021 editions of the Know Your Ships Books! However, the ACE Hardware store in St. Clair has yet to receive them so far. Don't know why it is taking them so long to get them while a few of the other locations have already got them in? The Bluewater Inn at the River Crab Restaurant up on the St. Clair River north of St. Clair also hasn't gotten the 2021 in yet either in case anyone like myself and others are wondering just what locations have them and which ones are still waiting for them. From now on I am following the path that everyone else does and that is to go online and simply fill out the order form there and go from there. At least I could've had my copies of the book by now.

I thought I saw and heard on our news here Guest that Michigan now is leading the U.S. in surging cases if I am correct? So far no lockdowns here in the US or Michigan but you never know when it comes to our political leaders here in Michigan and the US. Stay Safe for now though.

Thanks Denny and Roger, I had no luck finding the book in Soo Canada,
then again, we are in another lock-down because of Covid.

On Tuesday, I did see three ships locking-up in the Soo. The Algoma Conveyor, The Burns Harbour, and the third one I couldn't see.

Take care.

To headnut and John along with Ed. Got a reply today from Roger and YES indeed the books are now available in some locations up on the St. Clair River. There's still a few that don't have them in just yet but, Roger told me he's hopeful that by week's end that most places along the river should have them in. Hope this helps. Thanks again to both you guys and others for all of your help on the books. Can't wait to get my copy this year. Hoping as well of a possible book signing event too sometime this year in Port Huron!

To both headnut and to Ed. First to headnut or John, thanks for letting me know if they have them out at the St. Clair River yet. I’ve sent an Email to Roger and I’ll be checking that out to see what he has to say. Hopefully they come in this week and that I can get out there to see and get it. To Ed, I have yet to get my 2021 KYS but not to worry as I hope to get and have it soon! In years past, I’ve often ordered online from Roger but also get the regular editions too in St. Clair. It’s been a yearly tradition for me in nearly 30 years next year of shipwatching up on the St. Clair River to get at least a copy or two there. I never start out my days at the river until I get the book first! I make that a very serious and high top priority of boatwatching. Too many times I’ve been there, looked through the book and then missed a ship. Once I missed the Speer in St. Clair and had to follow him all the way to Marine City and the same with the Indiana Harbor once. Another time I missed about six boats in a day on the river! Since that time, like I just said I get the book first always before I start going to St. Clair period! Thanks all.

Not a problem Jim. To all the nerds out there - I would highly recommend the 2021 edition of K Y S. This book is packed with information from cover to cover. The value of this book is - in my opinion - OUTSTANDING !

Anyone know or have any updates and ideas as to when any stores up on the St. Clair River would get them in? I called a few locations yesterday and all say "They do not have the 2021 editions in yet and they are all waiting and expecting to get them in soon!" I am guessing that perhaps sometime after the Easter holiday weekend, Roger will probably then be making the rounds and trips up along the St. Clair River delivering his books to everyone. Better yet boatnerds, I like to think of it this way as both Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny both if you will delivering all the Know Your Ship Books for 2021 to all the good boatnerds out there!
