After zooming the image it is indeed the Mantadoc. The name is definitely too long to have been the Vandoc which had remained idle after 1991. This ship was a common sight on the St. Clair River throughout its career.

the captain on the mv mantadoc i believe his father was chief engineer on the ss paterson, or at the least related.

Appears to be the Mantadoc, built in 1967 at Collingwood Shipyards, Collingwood, Ontario.

It’s Paterson steamship lines. Defunct many years now. Can’t say which boat.

Greetings can someone please help identifying this classic straight deck laker? I took these pics back in the early 1990's on the St Clair river. Can't find anything on a shipping company with a large P on the stack, also can't quite make out the name. Have two others pics but keep getting an HTTP error message when trying to upload them.
