yes i would say your correct. now a days i believe they ship aggregates from this dock. it was once served by the CNR but the tracks were lifted in the 80s

Picton was the only ore dock on Lake Ontario as far as I know.
The ore miners strike that started August 1, 1977 sent the Pringle Transit self-unloaders down to Picton to load iron ore pellets for Cleveland. It was a Bethlehem Steel owned operation and was closed in mid-1978. Not sure if Bethlehem Steel sent the Johnstown, Sparrows Point and Lehigh to Picton during the strike.

And was Picton Ontario the only ore loading facility on Lake Ontario. We hauled ore from there to Cleveland during the U.S. miners strike I believe was 1977.
