More accurately, Badgely Island is in north west Georgian Bay. The quarry and dock can be seen on Google Earth at 45° 57' 31.87" N and 81° 34' 53.58" W

This island is in the northest corner of Lake Huron and not near Bruce Mines. The closest ports would be Fisher Harbour and Little Current.
