The Valor sustained some hull damage to a few frames while she was tied up at the CSX docks due to the winds banging her against the sea wall there and there are a few other areas of her hull that need repair.

Calumet and Manitowoc aren't scheduled for a drydocking survey until 2028. The Pierson is running on an extension for her drydocking survey which expires in March 2024. I would expect Rand to operate the River Class boats at least until their drydocking surveys expire but time will tell. Michipicoten is due for drydocking in 2024 ( will likely get an extension), Saginaw not until 2027 and Cuyahoga is running on a one year extension already; she's due for drydocking by April 2024. The Valor could be a replacement for any of those hulls since most of them don't operate within the Seaway ( Valor is too long for the Welland). For now, being a steamer, needing some repair and likely outdated in the ways of electronics, she's just excess capacity for Rand. Time will tell what becomes of the old gal.

Any new news on the Valo (American Valor)? Work seems to have paused but with all the scraps LLT has been doing is there a chance she'll be back to meet demands once the 70s river classes die out? Heard the Calumet's in similar condition to the Clymer when she went to scrap
