I heard that her powerplant was just not functioning as it should be. Then the dynamos in her went out.

Is there anything specific on what type of engine problems the Ford was having that lead to her premature retirement? I imagine that it must have been serious,, as the Ford had more capacity than the E.M. Ford, and even the Townsend for that matter.
