Propeller question

Ships that had a cast all in one propeller, vs individual blades, if you took a chunk out of one, minor damage, a 2 fist sized chunk, can it be fixed on the boat, or have to be removed, repaired then reinstalled, and can a shipyard repair it, or shipped to a specialized shop to fix it.
