I know what you mean there Bob as the Guardian does look like she’s in very tough shape when compared to the Algoma Discovery. Surprised that years ago, Algoma when the Discovery was last drydocked they painted her up in part yet the Guardian they haven’t done much of anything with lately as far as paint goes. Not 100% sure on this but in spite of the Guardian needing a little bit of paint work and the fact each ship was built in 1987, thought I read to where each one surprisingly is in good shape none the less though. But I do agree Bob, the Algoma Guardian does look in rough shape as does a few other Algoma vessels as well.

Algoma Discovery

Anyone know what is going on with her? She spent a little bit of time briefly in the North Slip in Sarnia then she left there for Superior to load ore pellets. Now today, I saw her downbound empty being assisted by a tug and headed back to Sarnia! Are they in there for some type of repairs or something else? Also noticed the Algoma Guardian left from their season long lay up in Goderich on August 15th and headed up to Superior to load ore. Surprised to see that since they were at the wall all year so far up until just last week at least. Any info on Algoma Discovery is very much appreciated. Thanks.
