As of 12:30 pm ET on October 4, both the Mesabi Miner and Paul R. Tregurtha are downbound just above Detour right now. The PRT as expected is at anchor related to the Interlake Steamship Company meetings and I would expect the Mesabi Miner will likely also be going to anchor as well.

I see the Lee A. Tregurtha currently at anchor heading up the lower St. Marys River above Detour probably due to the Interlake Steamship Company meetings? Yesterday the Cort was upbound and they too were anchored for a while as well in the lower river above Detour. This morning I see the PRT and the Mesabi Miner are both downbound at the Soo Locks. I wonder if both of them will go to anchor then today for the Interlake Steamship Company meetings then at that point?
Interlake Steamship Company meetings

It appears that Interlake Steamship Company is conducting their company meetings up near the Soo aboard their vessels. Yesterday I noticed the James R. Barker after it had locked through downbound, went to anchor above De Tour for most of the day then while this morning I am seeing now the Herbert C. Jackson anchored up in the same location. How long and how many years has Interlake been doing these meetings? I don’t recall of them doing them before although I know it’s been going on for quite some time now that is at least. Do other companies conduct or have meetings aboard ships like Interlake does? Just curious is all.
