I have a few boat names, from photos, of ships unloading ore at Toledo Torco. My list can very easily be multiplied by ?. At least, seven shipping companies from both sides of the border send ore boats to Toledo Torco for the old Armco Mill at Middletown, Ohio. The ore unloaded at Torco seems to go in the same piles for rail shipment regardless of where it comes from. It is easier to mention the boats that are missing for the Toledo Torco ore dock than the boats that visit often. Those boats would be the footers, straight deckers, and the salties. Footers have been in Toledo for winter lay-up (American Integrity, American Century, American Spirit, William J. McCarthy from American Steamship, and Mesabi Miner from Interlake). But, no footers visit Toledo regularly for any loading or unloading. The longest of my boat names to unload at Toledo Torco is Great Lakes Trader/Joyce L. VanEnkevort at combined 845 feet. The Lee A. Tregurtha is looking like the longest laker for Torco at 826 feet. Adam E. Cornelius at 610 feet would be the shortest of the lakers. There should be shorter/longer boats using the Toledo Torco ore docks. But, I limited my search to the photos I downloaded of ships unloading at Torco.
In the last 5 years, Toledo Torco has seen Algosteel (730 feet) and Algowood (740 feet) from Algoma Central Marine. American Steamship sent Adam E. Cornelius (610 feet) and American Valor (767 feet). Canadian Steamship Lines sent Halifax (730 feet), Frontenac (730 feet), CSL Tadoussac (730 feet), CSL Assinboine (740 feet), Salarium (ex-Nanticoke 730 feet), Rt. Hon Paul J Martin (740 feet), and CSL Laurentian (740 feet). Interlake has sent Lee A. Tregurtha (826 feet) and Pathfinder/Dorothy Ann (700 feet) to Toledo Torco. Upper Lakes Group sent John D. Leitch (730 feet) and Canadian Navigator (730 feet). VanEnkevort Tug & Barge has unloaded Great Lakes Trader/Joyce L. VanEnkevort (845 feet) at Toledo Torco. Some ships are idle or reassigned today. But, we remember them for frequent visits or incidents.
A laker was named for the Middletown steel mill. She never sailed to her namesake. Toledo Torco was the site of the Indian village of Chief Pontiac, yacht clubs, an amusement park, and beach resorts before WWI.

Re: taconite carriers
I think that Interlake has also delivered a few loads of ore into
Toledo for AK Steel & then transporting by rail to Middletown, OH.
Also, CSL along with Algoma and ULS have also shipped ore into
Toledo from Sept Isles but, don't know where the ore goes to.
