Want to thank Guest for response to my post of nearly 2 weeks ago about tug Ecosse being tied up in Clarkson at the cement dock long after Tadoussac had unloaded and departed back to Colborne. Indeed,I did see cranes out on that dock; is it all explains why Ecosse could have remained for sometime.

The Ecosse and barge MM 220 were unloading a project cargo.

Tug Ecosse

Unread post by Steamboater »

I have been on about the Tadoussac being at anchor in L Ontario off the cement plant at Clarkson for 5 days going back into last week. This was due to NW gale winds coming across the west end. Tadoussac got docked and unloaded late last Sunday into Monday.
AIS early Monday, January 6 showed tug Ecosse at the cement dock alongside . Wind was still up a little; so I assumed the tug was going to assist Tadoussac off the dock.
By Monday p.m. Tadoussac was away headed back East toward Colborne for more stone. BUT...Ecosse was still at the dock.
It is Thursday a.m....Ecosse is still at the cement dock according to AIS. Has anyone a clue what’s going on? Oh yes, Tadoussac is back in with another load of limestone!
