Re: Tug question
Salvage Monarch is currently docked at the yard of J&J Marine in LaSalle, which is a tug company providing barge services over to Fighting Island for many years. In the past the Monarch has often been used to move barges for nearby Dean Construction, also of LaSalle, but I’m not sure the reason of this visit.
Re: Tug question
Good point, Guest. I see it's at the ADM in Windsor. Your comments make sense now that I see where they went. At the same time, I see that Salvage Monarch is at Sunset Marina, a couple miles or so downriver from the ADM grain dock in the Windsor suburb, LaSalle.

Re: Tug question
Coincidence. The Wilf Seymour came from winter layup in Port Maitland with her barge destined for Windsor. My guess is that it will load grain and head east and then pick up aluminum for the trip back into the lakes as it usually does.
Tug question
It's Sunday Mar 23 and I notice Salvage Monarch and Wil Seymour are heading to LaSalle and Windsor, respectively. LaSalle and Windsor are neighbors and are essentially all one big community. Does anyone know why these two tugs are heading to the Windsor area at the same time? Maybe a coincidence, but I thought I'd ask.
