There are a few active commercial docks in the area that I'm aware of.

Near Picton is the Heidelberg cement plant, and Picton Terminals (run by Doornekamp). As mentioned in the original post, it sits on the site of the former ore dock. They have a list of vessel arrivals on their website https://www.pictonterminals.ca/

West of Bath is the Amrize cement plant (former Lafarge). And east of Millhaven is a liquid cargo dock called the Millhaven Terminal, run by Green Infrastructure Partners. I believe they receive both liquid asphalt and calcium chloride.

About 8 to 10 years ago there was a large wind turbine construction project on Amherst Island that kept a fleet of tugs and barges active in the area for several years. And finally, there are numerous passenger and auto ferries active in the region.

Going through old discussion threads, I enjoyed reading about the former iron ore dock at Depot Harbour, which also mentioned the former iron ore open pit mine at Mamora Ontario that Bethlehem Steel had interest in.

I asked a former sailor if he had ever been to Picton Terminal, which many years earlier had been the terminus for the iron ore from Mamora. I was curious as to how much laker traffic goes into the areas of Kingston / Prince Edward County / Quinte West.
