I met Capt. Bob several years ago when my girlfriend & I were on one of our many trips to Duluth. The PRT was tied up at the Port Terminal and back before 9/11 you could drive right out there. Capt. Bob happened to be on the dock and asked if we would like to come on board for a tour. We told him we would love to and he graciously showed us around his boat. We even took a ride in the elevator. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and we were very grateful to Capt. Bob for spending the time with us. We later sent him a thank you gift to his home in Florida. I hope he received it because we certainly appreciated what he had done for us. Thanks again Cap!

Wish I could be there! I watched him on his last and final trip on the PRT back on July 4, 2021. They were downbound on a very hot day and it was his last trip on the Queen. He acknowledged everyone with horn salutes on the river and I’m glad I got to see him one last time on the Queen before he retired from her. Too bad they don’t make a video DVD of the programs as you’d have a buyer and customer for the DVD of him speaking. I’m glad to see him speaking about his career on the lakes and his time as Captain on the PRT. He was a great guy and an even greater well known and respected Captain around the lakes. Glad to see and hear he’s doing ok and well these days. Cheers to Captain Bob! Calm Seas, Fair Winds and Sunny & Blue Skies to Captain Bob.

Who is going to be at the Captain Bob show with Dre Designs in Cheboygan in September?
