She has been using tugs on many of her trips up and down the Cuyahoga this year, particularly when backing in or out.

Likely having thruster issues on both ends, tough break!

If there has been some rainfall in the areas that drain into the Cuyahoga River, it is possible that the resulting changes in current could necessitating the use of tugs. Also possible there are some mechanical issues with the American Courage that would likewise require tug assistance.

Saw on AIS that American courage was moving back up the Cuyahoga with tugs bow and stern. She has bow and stern thrusters and was built for that river. Anyone know why the tugs are required today? There’s been little rain fall lately.
