Thanks Bob for that update! I’ve yet to do any checking on the Block’s AIS and their destination as I figured with the Sykes taking their load to Marquettefrom Meldrum Bay, I thought the Block would be doing the same.

The block loaded for Duluth out of medium bay. I don’t think I ever recalll a ship hauling out of medium bay to Duluth ever before.

The Sykes just loaded there in the past few days and she took her load then to Marquette and unloaded at the Shiras Dock I think it is there? I would think that the Block could be doing the same thing? The Block has loaded quite a bit from Marquette to Indiana Harbor so, it’s quite possible she might be loading at Meldrum Bay for Marquette? Hope that this information helps.

This trip happens occasionally. They were there at least once last season.

I just noticed the Joseph L. Block is eastbound (10-7-2025) in the Straits of Mackinac with a Meldrum Bay destination in its AIS information. How common of a trip is this for the Block?
