It has been a down year so far for the perch harvest for commercial fishing in eastern Lake Erie.

Does anyone know why the G3 Marquis is anchored in the middle of Lake Erie some 15 to 20 miles north of Conneaut? The AIS past track shows the vessel as having come downbound through the St. Clair and Detroit Rivers with the destination of Baie Comeau. It does not look like there is a backup on the Welland Canal, although if that had been related to this situation, I assume the ship would have instead anchored in the extreme eastern end of Lake Erie.
