I doubt the Algonorth will go to Purvis. Keep in mind that the E.M. Ford has still not been touched.

Well there`s the Canadian Miner x Lemoyne x Maplecliffe Hall still sitting in Toronto , waiting word on her fate . As well the Halifax x Frankcliffe Hall , sitting in Montreal`s Old Port , which we discussed in another topic posted here . Both were Halco classics and really are the last of their class of lakers left . The Sauniere is with the Halifax , she used to be Algoma Cental`s Algosea , and she was the first saltie converted to a self unloader in Canada . Here are some pics just to remind us of their glory days .
What a crime! Scrapping those three. Never saw the Canyon, but saw the A-isle several times. I remember once at the Soo in 2004 when our family went there for vacation, we saw the Algoisle. My dad remarked what a plain looking ship it was, which I agreed to. Now, looking back, she certainly will be missed. Also, we saw the Prospector once. Leader too (Sept 2008- tantalizingly close to her last layup). Any other word of boneyard bound ships?
Having worked on both of them , the Silver Isle as oiler , and the Canyon as Engineer , it still feels like a hot knife in my heart when I see them being disembowelled like that . But yeah it`s good that they are together , touching at their sterns . Kind of comforting almost .
The Canadian Prospector was beside the Agawa Canyon but has since been moved to another location at the breakers, according to Selim San of Izmir, Turkey. the sender of the photos.
