When I was in Burns Harbor Wed, there was concern about the contract expiring at the end of Augiust and what might happen. The ships do not have the same unions, typically AMO, MMP, USW 5000, but I don't know what will happen at the mills (docks at lower lakes) & also at the mines which are under the gun with a contract expiration. Hope it works out without a strike. Mike

Burns Harbor (steel mill)

There is talk Arcelor-Mittal is banking the blast furnaces at Burns Harbor, perhaps due to the labour contract that ends on the 31st. Does this mean that Stewart J. Cort and Burns Harbor will go into layup? How will this affect other vessels. Are other mills planning on banking their blast furnaces too?
