Have you tried the railroad historical societies?

Both maintain archives and publish fantastic magazines. And both magazines have had articles on their respective ore operations in Ashland.

Northern Pacific also served Ashland, but I don't think they loaded ore there.

I'm looking for information and photos of the docks (preferably in use) in Ashland, Wisconsin. I'm currently working on a coffee table book, I've even gone to our local museum and there's not alot of photos or detailed information.
