Sad news indeed of Capt. Pete Gronwall's passing. If my memory is correct, didn't he serve on a number of ASC vessels throughout his career? Two that come to mind are the Indiana Harbor and the H. Lee White. I think he was on the "Big Indy" for quite a while before going over to the H. Lee White if I am correct? Still sad to hear of his passing though. 3L2S Capt. Gronwall and here is to smooth sailing with calm seas and winds as well. God Bless.

Captain Peter Gronwall
So sorry to read of the passing of Captain Gronwall. Being an airline pilot [at the time] I was a guest of American Steamship aboard the Adam E. Cornelius for a few days on Lake Michigan in the mid-70s. What a great person/Captain. I even got to wheel the Cornelius for a short while. My best to his survivors.
