I purchased a Great Lakes Fleet Flag with the White, black and red triangles for $100 at a silent auction, and I've been searching for 5 years and this was my first time seeing one and I think I've only seen one ASC flag that went for about the same

I sold a USS Flag a few months back on Ebay, might have been mine, the flag could go for a bit more, but there was one major issue with my flag, it had a large peice torn from it, I cant recall flag anatomy, but the part that connects to the hooks at the very back of the flag was completely missing, it would have made a good display, but wouldnt ever be able to fly again. Thats why it went for 100! So a complete intact flag is worth a bit more. Not sure how much though.

Saw a USS flag on eBay a few months back. Think it finally went at about $100. A CSL flag recently went for $26.

Am interested in collecting only. Would not re-sell. Would display with my collection of paintings,flags,etc. In other words a good home. 313-806-5823 leave message if interested.

I sailed for GLF. My dad retired from USS/GLF as a Captain, and I believe I've got one stowed away someplace. Not quite sure I'd part with it, especially if it was just going to be resold to someone else for profit, but am curious as to what a flag like that might be worth. I have his uni, cap, pins and other remembrances I wouldn't part with for sure, but a remote (if I can find it) possibility I would sell it to someone who'll keep it in "collection" or fly it where the fleet may see it. To sum it up, not interested in a reseller situation if I do plan on selling it.

I have a used, but very good condition Storm King 3x5 foot USS house flag and several other Great Lakes house flags that are duplicates. I would prefer to trade for a Shenago Furnace house flag. Ken Niemi reissrecollections@hotmail.com
