It would be a rare treat to see her in the lower St Lawrence, I did speak to someone at Port Dover last year, and I was told the Robert S Pierson would make a trip this way, so far its not happening.

Thanks Alex. It was always important to my father that his ships were well cared for. I am so happy that there is a ship bearing his name today and I look on boatnerd once in a while to see where she is.

Hello Sarah! It's nice to see you visiting here. Thank you for your reply. Your and your sisters' boat was a favorite of mine and I enjoyed viewing it when it was in the area of the Soo Locks. It seemed that over a short time, the number of Soo River Company boats grew and there was always one or two within view. Your boat had a look of class and was always well kept.

I would venture a guess this is from transiting the locks.

O.K., Time to spruce her up! I will come help paint. But she is beautiful even with a "few" scars.

Robert S. Pierson paint on port side aft

Appearently, the Pierson rubbed herself pretty hard on her port side (aft section) sometime ago - the rub is quite visible (see the pic) right where her name is painted. Anyone know how/when/where this ocurred?
Just curious
