Re: what happened to the kuber?
I know where all of you are coming from on the AIS questions just take a look at the Buffalo sometime! There AIS will list their next destination but, the catch is the date along with ETA's have not been updated. Another one I can't figure out is the Dorothy Ann as I cannot track them on the boatnerd AIS for the life of me as they for some reason don't list anything on her! Why is that if anyone has an answer? A little off subject here but, tugboat I agree with you wholeheartedly as we should indeed go back to the days before all this technology come about. My family has told me "Just take and go out to the river sometime without all your stuff and just sit there and watch them pass by and enjoy it!" Maybe I should listen and take their advice sometime as it would seem great to get surprises of what ships you see instead of tracking them on the internet. To me those were the good Old Days of shipwatching when we didn't have all this tech stuff.

Sometimes I wonder about ais must be that the boats don't always update there position. Sometimes you see a boat with a destination and eta for a number of days in a row. I like to old days when you didn't have all this modern technology just a good cigar good music on the radio a really good book and waited in a favorite spot and tried to identify the boat from as far away as you could

LJK and OLM were likely departing green bay when you observed it on AIS, and at 6.6 knots, was likely just outside the river, and by time you reached green bay, they were beyond eyesight.

Northbound off Menominee at 8:40 pm on June 14th, per AIS history.
Sounds like you got a taste of the good old days of Boatnerding; where often the only way to see a boat was to pick a spot and wait all day!

what happened to the kuber?
yesterday i was in green bay expecting to see the kuber unloading at western lime dock. i looked at ais around 9:30am and it said they were in green bay at 6.6knots which to me would mean they were in the fox river. we got to green bay and were there until 7pm and still no sign of her. what happened to this vessel and is there something wrong with the ais system? thanks to all responses!
