FOR SALE: Chart table off the tanker Imperial Sarnia (1948) This is one of the rare 3 sided built in chart tables on lakers as most are built into a corner or stretch the entire backside of the chart room. This is made out of a combination of veneered plywood and solid hardwood. It has been removed from the vessel and is located in Port Colborne ON. Since it was built into the bulkhead, it will need a new support frame or even a sheet of plywood cut and fastened to the back of the table to make it structurally sound again. While it is in no danger of collapsing or anything like that, it simply has no back panel to support it and hold a lot of weight. The plywood or the beam will solve this and allow it to sit as a free piece of furniture. The dimensions are 6.6 feet long X39" high X38" wide it can be disassembled for transportation, with a bit of work and carpentry knowledge, however it is currently intact. It will need a little bit of repair work as the right side and back corner cracked during the lifting process and separated, no major damage. Shows it age well. Could be left alone and cleaned, or fully restored to a beautiful new luster. One brass handle still in place, remaining handles are missing but can be found as they are pretty common, new or original period. PRICE: $500 OBO

More pictures to come, first image the chart table still in place on the vessel two years ago.
