How was your visit. Did you find the Maumee OK or visit any other maritime venues?
You just never know what you will see by the water's edge.(from the file)

Don't forget the Mather and the Cod. Easy to find from Cleveland Clinic. Nice follow-up to the medical stuff.

SS Mather - 1001 East 9th Street, Cleveland, Ohio - (216) 694-2000

USS Cod - 1034 North Marginal Road, Cleveland - (216) 566-8770

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is in between.

It's not terribly far from the Clinic (I assume you're going to the Clinic's main campus downtown), but you definitely can't see the river from there. According to Google it would be about 15 min. from Euclid Ave. to Whiskey Island (Wendy Park, more exactly). As you probably know, Whiskey Island is right at the mouth of the Cuyahoga, and you can see the Old River bed, the current shipping channel, G tugs and shipyard (from the Highway) and the old USCG station (the one that looks like a light house). http://tinyurl.com/Clinic-to-the-Whiskey
