Just curious Ron, but do you think there is enough traffic/demand to have kept the Victorian Empress busy?
Re: Historic Great Lakes passenger ships
Isn't the Columbia also still around?

Don't forget the Canadian Empress. This is a 108 foot 64 passenger vessel which runs between Kingston Ont. and Quebec City. She has been running for 26 years. See Know Your Ships for a story on her by Roger.

Google both or check on the boatnerd site and you'll find a fair amount of info on them.
Both those boats are long gone. He's looking for one's that are still around.

Re: Historic Great Lakes passenger ships
You can include the SS Badger. Among it's designations:
Mechanical Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (for her steam engines);
Declared a Historic Site for both the State of Michigan & the State of Wisconsin;
Is on the National Register of Historic Places
Best of all:this one still sails!

Re: Historic Great Lakes passenger ships
Sort of depends on definitions. There are several car/railroad ferries still in existence that also served passengers. Here is a random list with of some passenger boats or car ferries still hanging around the lakes. There are many other smaller excursion vessels that have served islands, etc. that are not listed here.

Historic Great Lakes passenger ships
I am looking for information on any historic Great Lakes passenger vessels that are still floating. I don't know of any that are still active but looking for any that haven't been scrapped and may be able to be utilized again. The only one I know of is the SS Milwaukee Clipper in Muskegon. Thanks
