Wow. That's a surprise. I wonder what US registered ship of theirs can carry grain? The only trips here by them so far were with the LLT Canadian flagged boats Cuyahoga, Saginaw, & Pierson. Interesting. I will miss the Jackson though. She's not my favorite boat, but she sure is big for that tight turn at Ohio St. & I never tired of watching her come in & out. I also liked that she continued the Interlake tradition with grain here inherited from the Hoyt & Mauthe.

We will not be going to Buffalo this sailing season as Interlake lost the ADM contract to Grand river.

Haven't paid much attention, but I don't think the Jackson has been here in the Twin Ports very much this year. I know from watching AIS she has loaded a lot in Marquette. I think the grain that has gone to Buffalo from here has gone on the American Mariner. Keep an eye on The Duluth Shipping News. I know the Jackson is currently in Whitefish bound for Dearborn after loading in Marquette.

Sorry I cannot answer your question but, there are several ways and websites for tracking the Jackson's arrival. Not sure if you are aware of those or not? I can provide you with some of them and they are marinetraffic.com and you can also track the Jackson here on boatnerd and their ais tracking pages as well. You can also try to check both the Port Huron and Detroit Vessel Passage pages as they are updated daily and sometimes will list where she is going. Another website to check out is duluthboats.com as they will list a schedule of arrivals for Duluth and other Lake Superior ports up on the North Shore. If the Jackson is to load grain in Duluth, odds are she may take it to Buffalo sometime. Hope that all of this helps.
