This is somewhat off the topic of boats, but the Duluth paper has an article today about a house once owned by Alex D. Chisholm, who was a partner in Pickands Mather & Co. and had an Interlake ore boat named for him. It gives you an idea of just how nice it was to be a PM partner. This house is just a couple of blocks from an equally grand mansion that was owned by Capt. Sellwood, who also had a boat named for him.
