Yes it was the Barbara Lyn. I caught this tug pushing a barge up the St. Clair River at the Algonac State Park at dusk. As it was most likely the last picture ever taken of it, I sent a copy to the tug's owner after the accident. I received a prompt and very nice letter from the company which I still have in my files. Hard to believe this happened more than 25 years ago on October 1, 1990. As it is one my older prints I will have to look and see if I can find where I have it. I will post if possible.Jared wrote:Would this tug be the Barbara Lynn by any chance?

Interesting that you caught the Frontenac just a few hours before it grounded. Many years ago (late 1980s early 90s) I took a picture of a tug at dusk as it was upbound at Algonac only to read in the next day's newspaper that it had sunk on Lake Huron later that night. Unfortunately the picture wasn't that good as I didn't have a very nice camera at the time.

Warm temperatures were one of many reasons to go down to the river today!
