I was aboard her in the summer and was quite impressed with the shape that she is in one of the nicest ships in CSLs fleet besides the new builds it not hard to see that the old man takes pride in her and keeps her tip top shape well I should say the captain cause he might be 35 lol anyway I wouldn't be surprised if they repower her she is a good sea boat doesn't roll too bad in the Atlantic hope they do keep her around for years to come

The Salarium, x Nanticoke is getting on in her years, she`s a bit older than Algoma`s old Algoport. And we all know what happened to the Algoport. Since the Nanticoke had no hull renewal during the 2000s when CSL did a few of their 730s in PWDD, my guess is that she`ll stay on the salt run until she`s done. Her hull is pretty well been ravaged by the rigours of carrying salt so she`ll stay at it until she is ready for scrapping. My guess anyway.

I wonder what the future holds for this vessel as it is active in the salt trade.

Can anyone confirm or tell me if the Salarium of CSL will still be at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay this winter? There was talk here on this board a long time back of the fact that she would end up by having new engines put into her this upcoming winter and that it would be done at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay. The project would be similar to what was done on the CSL Niagara, Paul J. Martin along with the CSL Assiniboine and CSL Laurentien. I have not seen or heard anything further on this project in quite some time now and was wondering if it will still be done this upcoming winter? Anyone with any information on this appreciated. Thanks.
