All sailors are of the same blood no matter who or where they sail. Sadly there are still brothers sailing under these conditions in the 21st century.

I think it was handheld. A longer version that I saw yesterday shows someone taking the camera or phone with them as they start to exit the pilot house. It kind of appeared that they were holding it up against the window glass initially.

Those type of boats are used on the Black Sea regularly. Second, from what I've been reading, the vessel stayed afloat for hours. In fact the stern never went down. Unfortunately being in Eastern Europe, I doubt we will learn much more about this.
